My grandmother who doesn't do internet has found a black palm. Female, age unknown, but by teeth condition appears to be <5yr.

The dog is blind by all accounts that I can tell. It was found last Saturday in the Sullivan East area of Broyles Rd (which is the first rd off Broyles Lane) closest to Weaver Pike.

All surrounding neighbors have been asked and noone seems to have claimed the dog. If you need more information, please feel free to contact me. She is hesitant to take the dog to the animal shelter in fear of what will happen to a blind dog.

palm = Pom as in Pomeranian?

One suggestion is to call all the vet clinics in the area and give them a description. Some will post it, and clinics frequently get calls asking if anyone found a dog.

No rabies tag? Tag numbers can be traced through veterinary clinics, if you can find the clinic that has the range of numbers that the number is in.

Also, doubtful, but maybe worth a try if anyone has time, call around and find a vet clinic that reads microchips and take the dog over to see if it is chipped.

If that all fails, you could contact a Rescue, such as Small Breed Rescue of East Tennessee
Small Breed Rescue of East Tennessee
or maybe there is a Pom rescue in the area, and ask if they could foster it and find it a home. Or maybe your grandmother would be willing to foster it until the Rescue can find it a home.

Good luck! If we were nearby, I would help out, I love Poms.
