Does anyone have experience with the iphone in Johnson City? I'm currently with Verizon and it's time to upgrade the phone, looks like ATT is the only other choice besides Verizon correct?

How are the coverages here?

Thanks

Tony

Thanks Tony,

Do you have AT&T or Verizon? I'm thinking of switching to AT&T but was unsure of the coverage.

Thanks again.

I have AT&T, but not the iphone. (still have a dumb phone due to cost) However, my dumb phone does indicate whether or not 3g coverage is available, and it nearly always is available in the TriCities.

I have an iPhone 3GS with AT&T. . . I haven't run into many problems. I have experienced a few times where all of the sudden I have no service at all and it's just "searching." But really just happened maybe three times and didn't last long (less than a minute). I do know that last month or so, the whole area was out, but it seemed to happen to all service providers from here to Chattanooga in varying degrees. I''m assuming that they were doing maintenance or something.

My Verizon I Phone just died...not sure why, and I've only had it a few months. Taking it in to see what the deal i s. If they make my buy a new phone I'll be ticked and will look into ATT.
We'll see what their customer service is like by the end of this day.

Good luck with Verizon, their official policy on everything is if it's not in writing it's not valid, they are not responsible for any statements made by their employees.....hence why I'm looking at AT&T. In my book, if you can't trust what they say, by default, they are untrustworthy.

Let me know how it goes....you should be covered by a 1yr warranty from Apple, most Apple products come with a 1 yr warranty, at least everything I've bought from them.

Tony

I have an iPhone 3Gs with AT&T. Their coverage isn't as widespread across the area as Verizon's, but the customer service makes up for that. I have no problem in Johnson City whatsoever, and 3G is readily available.
