As well as several other hopeful (but unnamed) projects...

Would be great for the area. The comments section on the website seems to have alot of people who say that the jobs would not be welcome unless they are high paying $20+/hour jobs. I would welcome 700 of any paying job. And if I were the company that is thinking about hiring in an area, and saw comments suggesting that unemployed people are not willing to work unless its a $20+/hour job, I would not relocate here.

The comments section is purely useful for laughs and nothing more.

I found the term "slave wages" particularly off base. Yeah, I sure those slaves got the equivalent of $10-15 per hour, plus benefits. Ha.

700 jobs, averaging 11.25 an hour and it is manufacturing....hmmm... Bring it on.

Considering having 700 applicants for $7.25 hour Food Service jobs.

Is there any reputable support for $11.25 number... other than those poor stupid folk in the comments section?

I admit....Thats where I grabbed my number from. I just don't know. Someone also says it is Siemens or something that is the major player. Might go visit their site and snoop around.

Edit: I do not see any $ numbers on any of their job listings but I do doubt you will see a $7.25 and hour CNC Machinist with 2 years experience as I see searching the manufacturing jobs.

Anyone else hear anything lately? I know from being near the spot I think they will build on, there has been Heli Flyovers (circling a few times) and people out there checking the land. Recently "For Sale" signs were placed on the property too.

This is at the very end of Eddie Williams Rd.
