Hi there williboy! I have been enjoying your posts and thought we could be friends but alas it is not to be. I'm originally from the Asheville area but moved to South Georgia when I was 5 and stayed until I was 15. During that time I learned to LOVE ..... guess who? I am I devoted (even in the bad times) GA Bulldogs fan. Even during all of my years back in NC, I've loved them since I was 10 so there's no going back. Think we'll be able to see the game on the 27th up there? Maybe we can still be friends, how do you feel about the Carolina Panthers?

We can still be friends. Being from Jacksonville, FL, I'm a Gator and also a big Jaguars fan. I have friends that are UGA fans and some that are Seminoles so we won't let our autumn loyalties keep us from becoming friends. CBS has already picked up the UF/UGA game for a 3:30 pm kickoff.

I've enjoyed reading your thread. I'm not living there yet but intend to be soon. I'm currently in VT and want to vote with my feet, not to mention get out of our bitter cold winters. It sounds like people don't mind transplants down there, even if we are northerners!

I was stationed in Brunswick, Maine in the Navy and just loved it there. I really liked the people in Maine, though I was something of a novelty to them with my southern accent. I think you'll love this area, the people are very friendly and the area is beautiful.

Default Western Washington

Hello, we currently live near Seattle, Washington. My husband was born in Kingsport but moved here to Washington when he was young. Most all his family still lives in Kingsport. Last year we bought a motor home, packed it up and drove three days nonstop to Tennessee. I fell in love. I have felt Kingsport pull at my heart strings since. I would love to move there, and we have thought about it seriously for a long time. I do think that eventually (hopefully sooner than later) we will be there...I just don't think that I could live with myself if I never tried it. So till then I am always on these boards reading, dreaming, and trying to educate myself on what it would be like to live there. East Tennessee is Gorgeous!! Very comparable (in beauty) to my hometown Kenai, Ak. Love these boards---Keep on chattin'!!
