I have seen some photos that people has recently posted and there seems to be some patchy color, but here where I live in southeast Bristol, TN - there is little/NO color. Most all of the trees are still all green, save for the ones that the drought has got to.... I took these today (10-10-07) from my front porch/lawn... as you can see, mostly all green. Maybe the cooler temps this week will help change that. I do not think the color will be nice this year, what with the drought and all.

Everything is still green in my yard, we have some leaves down on the lawn but they were blown out in yesterdays wind.

We have a slight change in color in the back yard and a few trees around here in Gray, but nothing like it should be this time of the ear. I have noticed more of the Choke Cherries and Poplar's but I don't see the reds and yellows of the maples yet.

They are starting to change pretty good out our way. Still have a long way to go though and I am looking at things through a Floridians eyes still.

Are you near a river valley location? Someone else had some photos near a river valley location around here and there were some changes. Around here, they are still either all green or brown from the drought. If my memories of the past years serves me right, I think that we "normally" peak around mid to late October. I do remember that in October of 2005, it was also above normal and we did not "peak" until about late October/early November. Looks like this year may be the same, but I wonder if we will even "peak" this year. I think that most of the leaves will dry up and wilt away. I imagine that with the cooler temps we are experiencing now, that we will start to see some changes very soon.

Everything's green here in downtown JC. I think they'll turn brown soon enough.

I've got a touch of red in my backyard in Piney Flats but mostly leaves are just dying and falling off. I live on the lake so I'm hoping the trees near the water may have a little color in the next week or so.

We are about 3 or 4 miles outside of Jonesborough. While there is still more green, we are also starting to get a lot of fall color.

Still all green here, but I imagine that with this recent, sharp cold snap, we may see color soon... maybe not much - I think most leaves will turn brown this year.

It's mostly green in Kingsport too. I was in Gatlinburg yesterday and noticed a small amount of color. I was near Cookeville/Crossville last weekend and there was more color there.
