Hello, we are hoping that everyone will give us update, honest answers to our questions. Our family of 4 is seriously considering relocating to the Tri-cities, area. I am a LPN w/17yrs experience and recently obtained my BS degree in Human Services. My husband worked for 32 yrs at a gov't contractor building submarines (he was an environmental tech). Our children are both in 6th grade so schooling is very important, our son likes shooting (?gun club) & robotics. Our dtr into the art scene (she takes art classes now and wants to continue). As a family we enjoy the outdoors: camping, swimming, parks, hiking as wells as cultural events (music, plays). So our questions are:
1)Best performing middle/high school that offers the widest range of activities & parental involvement?
2)Is there a vocational-trade high school in the area?
3)We are going to rent for awhile to get the feel of the area, who handles the most house rentals? Need 3br w/yard for 2 small dogs & gardening?
4) We are open to rural, subs or downtown areas, must be safe.
5)Best medical facility to work for as an LPN?
6)Besides Eastman & ammunition plant other options for employment for the husband?
7)What area(s) most rundown, higher incidences of crime (so when we are on sites we have a little info)
8)We would love to live on a body of water anything affordable under 1000.00/month?

Thanks everyone for your insight, making such a big move is daunting but we have to do it, SE Connecticut has not recovered and it time to go.
