So wife and I have decided to focus on JC and we aren't really city folks we appreciate privacy and some quiet so we are looking for a nice town within 15 minutes or so of JC...where do yall suggest? Obviously Elizabethton is at the top of the list but where else should we look at?

In the same boat. My fiancee and I are mid 20's with a 3 year old. We would like to work in JC but live in a more country setting on the outskirts.

I'd also look at Jonesborough, Unicoi and possibly Erwin. Gray is an unincorporated suburb of JC that may be a good option as well, and Watauga is a tiny town just a few miles NE of JC that may be another option for y'all.
