It seems that the Downtown Johnson City Association has a difficult time keeping folks working for them. Just heard the director resigned just a couple of months before the Blue Plum. Does anyone one know what's going on? I like the BP and hope they can keep it going.

It's a mess.

I agree. The issue I have is how it looks for our city. Johnson City is struggling to make the downtown viable and yet it appears to me that the folks downtown find it hard to get along. It really makes JC look less inviting to new people - like we don't have our act together.

The downtown redevelopment coordinator for the WCEDC also recently left. I don't know exactly what's going on, but somewhere, there are powerful folks refusing to play by the rules.

Went to look at my Facebook, as I had been friends with the (now former) Blue Plum director, and this was the first I'd heard of it. Turns out the person has unfriended me. Well, hmph!

The Blue Plum was one of the few highlights the region had. I attended last summer and had a good time. This would be a big hit to downtown redevelopment plans if this all falls apart.

I mean, I'm sure the festival won't stop because a director left. This wasn't the first or last director.

Honestly, Emigrations, how do you even smile sometimes?
