We are hoping to move to the Tri-Cities area in the summer of 08. We would really like to find a house with a few acres, but also in a good school district. Where is the best area to start looking for a house where you can have a few acres and hopefully a few farm animals?
I will also need to find a job as a Respiratory Therapist, if anyone know of any openings in their local hospital. Thanks for your help.

Default Hello

Hi alaskanmax,
Just about anywhere outside the city limits of any of the Tri-Cities sounds like it would fit your bill. There are two major medical management companies in the area, Welmont and Mountain States Health Alliance. Both have their own web sites and you can also go to accuforce.com, they are hiring for all medical possitions right now from what I hear.
For land and good schools, I personally would look in these areas: Telford, or anywhere in the Jonesborough school areas, Gray/Sulfer Springs or anywhere in the North Washington County School areas. Pinney Flats, there is a pretty good school there called Mary Hues (sp?)
Just my 2 cents.

I live in Telford, about ten miles outside of Johnson City and there is plenty of homes with land out our way. We are only about four miles from lovely downtown Jonesborough.

Down in Hickory Tree, just southeast of Bristol city limits..... in the Bluff City area. Some refer to it as "red neck city" though.... Its at the base of the Holston Mountain and has a river that runs in the area.

I live pretty near there (just before you get into the area. Its beautiful land.
