Peerless, IMO, was never above Chop House, much less a Morton's or similar, in quality.

I still think it's odd how the owners of Peerless are doing "Burger and Barrel" downtown, and not a steakhouse.

Went there once. Probably would never go back again. Low quality experience, broadly speaking.

Just for giggles, went to their web site. Lots of stuff about the "future", but nothing much about the present.

Good luck with that style of marketing. Doesn't put food in front of the community; and doesn't put katching in the cash box.

Looks to be a failed operation. Did the pub ever get off the ground? Hard to tell from the web site.

I drove through the parking lot of the former Ruby Tuesdays location across from ETSU today. There was a large moving truck parked by the main customer entrance and that door was open. Other doors to the building were open and an air conditioning repair company was parked at the curb by one of the open doors. Anyone heard anything about a new tenant moving in?

I drove by their yesterday morning, but it was before 8, and nothing was going on. That place has been vacant for awhile - it would be perfect for a nice steakhouse.

Drove by yesterday about 5, didn't see anything. I did comment to my wife that I was surprised it has been empty for so long.
