I thought that other than some resale tickets the game was more or less already sold out? And there are already quite a few out of state tags on the roads, and a visible increase in traffic as people are already starting to trickle in for this. Great for the city but not so much for my daily commute, lol.

Oh my goodness; it's as much about the tailgating and social scene as it is the game. No worries about that! I am so excited about seeing everyone!

I am going with $150 in my pocket - shuttle is taking us from Central High up there. If I can't get a ticket with that, guess I'll just tailgate and drink until shuttle gets back.

Largest college football game ever: 156,990 spectators. This got lots of people talking about Bristol and Tennessee as a whole.

Thumbs down Battle at bristol - bad showing guys

WOW there are a lot of mad people. I was happy to have many of my friends from knoxville and memphis to come up for the game. How embarrassed was I. It was the most poorly run event ever. They ran out of food and drinks. We waited 45 minutes for nachos cause the booth had 1 guy taking orders and the money and preparing food. The people that payed 45.00 for a paring space were held for an hour. That is the 1st time I have seen people paying getting punished. We all agree NEVER again. It was a poorly run cluster.

I didn't bother - figured traffic would be atrocious.

For what its worth, the Bucs at Bristol game today was a lot of fun- with a great game by the Bucs! Except for the price-gouging when it comes to concession prices ($4 for a water, $5 for popcorn), it seemed to be run well. Of course it is much easier to deal with a crowd of 13,800 instead of 160,000.

In my previous experiences attending races, yes there are long wait times for concessions, and that is even after they let people bring in coolers of food and beer. Most people seem to realize that is what happens when you put that many people into the same place. Neyland Stadium on a game day isn't much better.
