Ok I have a female who I’m talking to right now, well actually we’ve been talking on an off for about 4 years nothing serious but I’ve always been attracted to her & I can tell she’s into me I feel a connection with her. But things have started to pickup a bit more with me talking to her. She lives in Johnson City, TN & I live in Atlanta (Decatur), GA. I don’t have a set date to see her yet but I will at some point. I would have to take Delta if I were to fly which would get me there within a hour or less & the cost would range from $250 to $300 depending on the day. If I take Greyhound it would take 7 hours & 35 minutes but the cost would range from $60 to $100. Also she’s 29 (F) & I’m 30 (M). I’ve thought about taking the plane 1st then start taking the bus but we’ll see.

My question is what would be the better option to go with Airplane or Bus, I’m still thinking about it but unsure of which route to take.

Bus will get you here slowly. You’ll be here in under an hour on a plane.

I'm not sure what we're supposed to help you with here. It's entirely your decision... what is of higher priority: your time or your money? This applies to any travel for any reason. Your choice will likely depend on how much money you are able/willing to spend on getting there, as well as how long you'll be there and therefore how much of that time you can/are willing to take up with travel. No one can weigh these things and then make a decision except you.

Does she drive? If not then you will still need to figure out how to get from the airport to the city, and bus might be the better option if time isn't an issue.

Another consideration is that even if you fly you will need to rent a car because the airport is 20ish minutes from Johnson City in Blountville. I'm not sure what the Uber/Lyft scene is like in JC, but likely pretty pricey since it is a relatively small town.

I think you are probably better renting a vehicle from Budget for a couple hundred when you are talking about all in costs.

I've Uber'd in JC and it was easy and affordable - the fare was so low (IMO) that I tipped more than the fare.

Been four years. Why rush? Take the bus. What's a few more hours?

Why not drive? This is very doable. If you don't have a car then rent one for the weekend. It won't be that expensive.
