Hi everyone. I am eloping when I visit J.C. June 25-June-30. I was wondering if we need a blood test, how/where to get a marriage licence etc. It's just the two of us, I would prefer an outdoor setting if possible, but it looks like the area may get rain during this time of year. Any suggestions?

Tennessee Marriage License Information -- How to Get Married in Tennessee

According to this web site you will need a valid drivers license and a social security card. (Passports are accepted in some cases.) There is no blood test required, and no waiting period. And the fees range from 93.50 to 98.50, depending on the county. There is alot more specific information on there for various scenarios. Hopefully this will get you started. And congratulations!

Winged Deer is a really beautiful park in JC and has quite a few places that would work for a wedding. Congrats!

It is not in JC, but about an hour and a half down the road is Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg that has a little wedding chapel on every other street corner. Some of them are very beautiful and are in wonderful settings. They have wedding packages and all that. Maybe you could do a search and set something up for when you get here?
Just a thought.
Congrats either way!

One thing regarding the wedding license. It has to be paid for in cash and every county charges differently. Figure it will run about a $100.00 give or take a few bucks.
Congratulations!
Pam

If you can get your officiator to follow you, I'd go up into the National Park somewhere... of course, that'd likely involve going to Greene, Unicoi or Sevier counties, so no luck t here I guess.

Well, I think I'm just rambling. <g>
