Ah, finally a precise description of where the J'borough Lowe's will (probably) be. From the write-up it sounds like it'll be directly east of Pal's on the 11-E. Still can't figure out where the new described red light will be (isn't there already one at Headtown Rd?), though...

They put the turn lane in and the lights are up (but not working yet). The sign is up and it is looking like a store now. They were pouring the curbs for the turn lanes this past week. Best part about it is that it is next door to Pal's.

Yep, it's evidently going to be open quite soon as, like SMG said, the lights are up and flashing yellow. This part of Jonesborough is so busy in the mornings and afternoons anyway. Geez!

They started a "mass hiring" at 8am Friday. They've been doing it from 8am-8pm Friday through tomorrow. I saw the info posted on Careerbuilder.com

It was being held at the shopping center across from the new Walmart on the Jonesborough highway. It only lasted from Friday until Monday. From what I understand some of the more "key" positions were being filled by transfers from existing stores. All the new hires were going to be brought in as "seasonal" employees with no more than 39 hours per week and no benefits. After 90-180 days they were going to hire the best workers on as full-time employees with benefits.
