This would be an impressive accomplishment for a man half this guy's age...kudos and a hearty thank you to Mr. Dosser! This trail is not new. It's been there as long as I can remember (granted I'm only 19), but it's certainly not new.

As the article states, the trail took five years to complete so at least in that sense, not all of the trail is "new." However, the full 1.9-mile trail was only completed within the past two months (late Dec/early Jan), so the project is newly finished.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I hiked that same trail last year, as well as the year before that. The article you are referring to is talking about the maintenance and renovation of the trail after last year's fire. I can assure this trail was completed many moons ago, but now is under "renovation" as is much of the rest of Buffalo Mountain Park
