I am a big fan for sea food, especially live fishes. Is there anywhere in the tricities area I can purchase some live fishes? Thanks.

A creek or river and a fishing pole?
Not sure. TN is a land locked state and fresh sea food is not easy to come by. But when you do find it, it will not be cheap!
The only place I know of is River Front Restaurant in Kingsport on Netherland in Rd. They have a seafood case where they sell it. However, the few times I was in there and looked, it didn't seem to fresh.

peterzlf,
You will not find any good seafood retailers in the Tri-City area. I have tried everyone of them and without naming names not one of them sells decent seafood. I have searched as far away as Knoxville and did not find one good seafood retailer. You might try online ordering.

You can sometimes ask Kroger to special order things for you but your best bet would be to find a reputable online supplier and have items flown to you. Sorry.

Forgot to mention that Earth Fare in JC has a great seafood selection. Nothing is living, but it looks like it was alive a few hours ago. I saw some beautiful snapper the last time I was there ($20+/lb).

The Johnson County High School in Mountain City did have a hydroponic farm and a fishery from which they sold products at certain times of the week. I think they raised talipia for sale. I have an aunt living in that community that has bought from them. I don't know if the operation is still going on. You could call the high school.
