Kamoshika That picture of that General Store in Piney Flats, do you remember if that store is open? I love going to these General stores, that are thru out Tennessee. Thanks in advance.

Richard, the general store in Piney Flats is not in operation. I learned a little about it in this piece on Piney Flats' historic district:

The Mitchell Carr Store, constructed in 1939, sold primarily farm supplies and grocery items. Currently used for storage, the frame building continues to display the title “General Store” across its false front.

However, you might enjoy this bona fide general store if you're ever down near Limestone.

Kam, thanks for the new pictures. I grew up in Horse Creek, Greystone and Camp Creek. Those pictures sure did transport me back in time. I really appreciate it.
