LOVED your pics. Very relaxing scenes to start my hectic workday with! Thank you for that!

I am currently researching a new place to move (from Texas). I am a GM/Sales Mgr. for a mfg., but am really a Jane-of-all-things (the workhorse of the company). I want mountain scenery, but also a decent drive to a good job. I am more conservative minded, so a conversative, hard-working community with those beautiful country/mountain views would be great! How is it in the Kngstn/JC/Brstl area/surrounding areas? Much opportunity? Religious minded? Low Crime?

I love to walk and hike and I take care of my special needs brother who would need an adult daycare near my route also so that's a big decision on where I go as well. Of course, proximity to DollyWood and those fabulous roller coasters (that I always end of riding alone) are a huge plus for TN too!

Any info you could offer would be great!

Thanks!
Teri

Time for some new NE Tenn. photos...

Bedraggled juvenile bald eagle at Kingsport's Greenbelt along Netherland Inn Road. On April 3 this poor guy had the misfortune of being attacked by several Canada geese while in the river. Riverfront Seafood owner Wayne Michelli saw this happening and scared off the geese, likely saving the eagle's life. Still struggling to fly the next day, he was captured and taken to UT's vet school to be treated by an avian specialist. He's currently recuperating at the American Eagle Foundation in Dollywood.

This swinging bridge connects the Kingsport Greenbelt to Long Island:

I was afraid the forest fire at Church Hill's Laurel Run Park last fall would affect the wildflowers this spring, but they were as prolific as usual:

Earlier this week, I made my first visit to Rocky Fork State Park (near Flag Pond in Unicoi Co) since it was designated a state park over 4 years ago. This is a magnificent area and my pics don't come close to doing it justice. Cool to see the prized reish mushrooms growing on a dead pine.

What kind of equipment are you using? I agree - it is hard to do Rocky Fork justice.

Stellar framing and composition, you have such a talented eye.
I felt like I could reach right out and pluck up one of those smooth rounded rocks from the South
Holston River and roll it over in my hands.
And glad to hear the eagle is receiving the help it needed.
