Weather has actually been very nice here the last few days. Not near as muggy as last week when we had all those storms. Been about 86 in the hottest part of the day with about 30% humidity and mid 60's at night. I love this time of year.

Were dealing with similar temps only 70's in the evening and 80-100% humidity. Big cooldown coming in the next few days. I dont like this time of year much......

Default Moving to Fall Branch !!!

Hi All,
I just signed a contract and will soon be relocating to my new residence on Church rd. in fall Branch. I'm a disabled vet from the Iraq War and am looking forward to make new friends and recover/ retire in Tn. I hope to meet other vets and assimilate into the slower paced lifestyle that the south is known for !!!. I will be looking for a good church in my area as well as fun things to do and places to see. I suffered a mild traumatic brain injury in Iraq in 2006 and have realized that I need to make new friends willing to accept me who I am now, instead of trying to cope with friends and family that refuse to accept that I have changed and the person that I was is history, at least for the forseeable future. I got a nice little 2 acre parcel with an older trailer on it and a nice babbling brook on one end of it. I hope you all don't mind my rambling on here, but I feel that this move can really help to turn my life around !!!. Well I'll talk to you all later.

Welcome home to TN Warrior!
First and for most, thank you for you service, my family appreciates you! So sorry to hear about your injury, but so glad you came back home.
Well, there isn't a whole lot to do in Fall branch but it is a nice area, lots of good people for the most part. You may find yourself going into Kingsport a lot, you will have to be sure to go to the down town Kingsport concerts on Thursday and Friday evenings, great place to meet people and it is free! Bring a folding chair, find a spot, smile and say hello to people and more than likely folks will strike up a conversation with you.

Anyone hear anything from Kamoshika, lately? I noticed he hasn't posted any pictures and hasn't replied to any threads.

He's around. He started a handy thread today, in the main TN forum on 'pick your own' farms...
