Yep. And according to the radar in motion, Washington and West Sullivan County are about to get the worst of it in the next thirty minutes or less.
Be careful everyone! Take in anything that can become a flying weapon such as : patio furniture, trash cans, flower pots, bird feeders etc.
Heading out back to take all mine in now.

YES! Its been extremely windy here. There was one report of winds gusting to 56 mph in Bristol.

We are still getting torrential rains and extremely gusty winds.... lights flashing off and on too!

Hmm.....I missed have drove a loop around all this mess....I've not been in a spot all day that it rained.

I'll chalk that one up to luck. Hope noone out there is hurt.

I was caught in the worst of it trying to get my groceries out of the car.

Is there any type of "warning" here? I know up north the same siren used in some midwestern states for a tornado warning is a test or a call for volunteer firemen to get to the station.

Needless to say I'm a little freaked out about a tornado. My father even called to make sure we were okay because it is such a foreign thing to him, and was to me until last year.

It wasn't that bad. I was expecting horrific winds and rain and all I saw were a few gusts and a little rain. Stoplights went out on Unaka Avenue for a few minutes, but that was the "worst" of this storm that I saw.

I'm not sure. There is some siren in Elizabethton. It went off on the 24th around noon or so when I was leaving Red Chili. I wondered what it was for because it sounded like the sirens Chattanooga has for Sequoyah. . . and as far as I know, Elizabethton doesn't have a nuclear plant.
