Does anybody know where I could bring my machine in for repair?? The damn thing has been sewing loops like crazy and I just can't fix it, so it looks like I will have to resort to paying to have it fixed.

Thanks!!

Couldn't find anything for JC. I know there's one in Greeneville... if you want, I could check with my mom (an avid sewer) and see where it is. Google returned three in Boone.

Or you could call Somewhere Sewing, Nimble Thimble or somewhere like that any see if they have any references.

I know of the place in Greeneville as well, the one off 70 in the Save-A-Lot strip mall right? As far as closer to JC, I know I have seen one, but can't for the life remember where............
I agree with Jab, call a local sewing supply place such as Hancock fabrics over by Target, at the far end of the parking lot, next to Ryan's. Those ladies in there have always been very helpful with me on a few crafty projects, I bet they would know the best place to bring it to.

Yep, I believe you're right, it's in the downtown center with Sav-a-Lot and Central Drug. Don't know if that's 70 but I'll take your word for it.

Called around today, didn't realize how steep it was to get it fixed, The retail price for the machine is only $13 more than the repair

Thanks for the advice everybody. If somebody asks in the future, Nimble Thimble does repairs. However from their website it looks like they are set to close soon.

Hi Bailey,
How were you helped with your "sewing loops?" I am having the same problem.

Thank you for any suggestions,
Juliette Lafayette

No, I've decided to push any sewing needs aside for now - but one member did say their father did repairs, and the price they quoted me wasn't bad. Feel free to DM if you want me to forward you the information.

I relize my last post was deleted. I dont understand why. I am not advertising anything. I was simply attempting to help out another member. They needed sewing repairs, and it just so happens my father does that. I apologize if it seemed like I was "advertising" When I really wasnt. It's hard to find a good repairman that doesnt cost an arm and a leg for thier service.

I understand, but that is still considered advertising and best to be done personally to the OP threw DM.
If we let you say "Hey, my Dad does sewing repair, call him" and another poster say "Hey my brother does care repair, call him" and another say "My husband is the best Realtor in town". etc, it would just be a forum full of advertising like a hundred other forums out there that are so hard to read and get personal opinions about a city/town/area due to all the advertising. We have to draw a line somewhere, and that is where it is. Hope you understand.
