Hi! We are moving to your area soon and we are really excited! We are looking in the JC area as well as Gray, Piney Flats - any area in and around JC. We have 2 boys who will be 7 and 4 in May. Our older son has a significant language disability, but is otherwise fine. (No behavior issues, ADHD, autism, etc.) He has an IEP and requires a little bit of extra assistance, but doesn't need a full-time aide or anything. Does anyone on here have any experience with certain schools in regard to special ed programs? Our son is very bright despite his disability, and we want to make sure that we find the right fit and he gets a good education. I read some parent reviews on a school rating site (with a grain of salt) and it seems that some area schools perhaps don't value kids with disabilities as much as others. This was mostly in outlying schools - and I'm only going on some parent reviews so I don't know. I read a lot of wonderful things about most of the JC schools however.
Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I will suggest, from personal experience, the new Ridgeview school in Gray. That is because Mrs. Music is there. She transfered from Gray school when the new one opened, she is the special ed teacher and is fantastic! My son has an IEP, he is now in Daniel Boone and they have been wonderful.

Thank you so much, mbmouse! That really helps. I read mixed things about DB. I'm happy to hear that is an option.
