The one poster says there are too many bosses and workers at MSHA, but that's not the case at Wellmont, we have decreased the number of night shift PCT's (cna), and increased the patient load on nurses.

MBmouse, there should never be a reason to have a patient in pain w/o some sort of relief. I'm supposed to start back to school tomorrow to finish my last semester of nursing school, it's so depressing, why bother finishing if I can't find a job? And the pay is horrible, I'll be an LPN when I graduate in August, but if you want "normal" people hours and choose to work in a clinic/Dr office, they are offer $9-$10 per hour, a hospital pays only a little better $11 - $12 to start here in JC. I make more than that as a nursing assistant.

But with the way the economy is going, a $10-$12 job is better than no job at all

Tomorrow's going to be an interesting day, if I get to school early enough to register, then I'll start my last semester, if not then I'm not sure what I'll wind up doing. Well that sounds like I need to finish school doesn't it.....duh, that wasn't hard to figure out

Tony

Stick with it, Tony. You just have one more semester! If you quit, then you'll be more or less in the same position (stuck with a ****ty paying job) but WITHOUT the degree for future reference.

It is my experience and belief, that there is always good things around the corner.

Please get your education because there is great need for health care. Our economy will straighten out in the near future. It just needs to make adjustments.

Jab, Tony, and others who are students...hang in there. I don't know how you're making it, but keep on keepin' on, brothers. Like Smoky, Smilin and MB, I have hope that the economy will get better. Different, but better. And maybe we'll find a way to temper the credit card craze with a little more responsibility. Go Tony!! You've got your own cheerleading squad here on C-D behind you!
