Kpt = Appalachian Power, a unit of American Electric in Ohio.
JC = JCPB, they have a really nice building and we pay for it.
Bristol = BTES, probably the best of the local utilities.

OTHER:
Chuch Hill, Rogersville = Holston Electric
Most other towns have their own little utility company.

Actually, that's 8.4 cents, way cheaper than I pay in NH. about 14 cents. I'm getting hosed.

Per JCPB.com, rates for customers served by Johnson City are: Total cents per kWh 8.371 (includes FCA). The Fuel Cost Adjustment is a fee added by the TVA that fluctuates monthly.

Our Carrier central air/heat pump unit is both very quiet and very efficient.

Thanks everybody for educating me. Looks like heat pumps are #1 in ETN. Just the right climate for one, I guess. If you have something additional to "fire up" during cold snaps, that's better still.

I'd probably miss my wood stove, but then again, me and my chain saw aren't getting any younger.
