My wife and I used to love Ole Chili (or was it Chili Ole, never could tell) the mexican restaurant that was on Roan next to Bailey's Sports Bar. A few weeks ago they closed. We had talked to them quite a while ago and they indicated they were moving to a new location. Does anyone know if they have opened anywhere else? They had the best Mexican food in town!

Yup, it was Ole Chile. I never ate in there but we had it from Johnson City Room Service once and it was really good.

No idea where they're going but if I spot it, I'll post. That location is getting to be "jinxed" like the NASCAR cafe site close by - first the Indian restaurant, now the Mexican one...

Well, the Smokey Bones building was jinxed for a decade before SB came in. Business owners should take note of their success. You must radically change the appearance/ambiance in order to get people to come back to a different business in the same location as a failed business.

Another place that is currently jinxed is the old Wendys building on 11E. Two replacements have failed to last 6 months.
