I am an EMT-B IV and I am looking for a job in East TN. I haven't been able to find anything around Middle TN and would be willing to relocate. Does anyone know if any of the private or 911 services are hiring?

I am not sure but I don't believe TN recognizes EMT-B anymore

My son is an EMT-Paramedic (and an EMT-IV) and there is always a lot of work in the greater Knoxville area and surrounding counties. I am unsure about upper NE TN.

Good luck!

Try:

Anderson County
Grainger County
Vital Care (Campbell County)
Knox County Rural Metro
Blount County Rural Metro (they have separate hiring)
Monroe County
Pro-Med (not sure if they are hiring)

Sullivan county indicates they have openings and are accepting EMT applications but only at Intermediate and Paramedic levels. http://www.sullivancounty.org/EMS/jobs.htm

The volunteer fire departments in Sullivan County have many volunteer (unpaid) first responders with Basic or higher EMT rating. There are also several volunteer rescue squads in the county doing first responder. Kingsport paid firefighters provide first responder service within the city. Only the Sullivan County EMS is licensed to transport within the county including all cities.

Kingsport Fire Department has been growing recently. Employment | City of Kingsport Tennessee Fire Department
