Finally making plans for late May to fly up and look at houses for a few days. I'm only staying 3 nights/4 days and was thinking about a B&B.
I noticed the prices posted aren't really any higher than those of a
decent motel. I'll be staying in Elizabethton...any opinions or personal
experience with the local B&B's?

Thanks!

I have never stayed at one, but did see the innkeeper on our local morning news show and this inn in Jonesboro was featured. It looks fabulous and she makes sure that you are treated like a king/queen while you are there. Here's the website and just take a look at the rooms, very nice!

I second the recommendation for Eureka. It's a 14 room inn, each with their own private bathroom - just like a hotel, but like stepping back in time. Gorgeous place! If you want an actual B&B, they're next door neighbors is the Blair Moore House. She's a Cordon Bleu chef, so you know you'll get a top notch breakfast!

Jonesborough is about a 20 minute drive from Elizabethton.

Thank you for posting the link for the Eureka Inn. Yes the rooms are nice but the Inn's exterior on their homepage is just stunning.

We've stayed at the Blair-Moore house in Jonesborough and can recommend. It was a lovely experience with an outstanding breakfast!
