Besides ETSU Family Physicians & Associates and Kingsport's Mountain Region Family Medicine (I see Dr. Kevin Misischia there, whom I really like):
Medical Group Practice Directory for Kingsport, Tennessee (TN)
Medical Group Practice Directory for Bristol, Tennessee (TN)
Medical Group Practice Directory for Johnson City, Tennessee (TN)

I'm sorry to hear of your injury and the problems you've encountered, and I hope you can get the treatment you need very soon. Good luck!

I feel your pain (sorry lol). I had a severe lower back injury and discovered that finding a competent doctor who doesn't treat their patient like a dumb sack of **** is evidently very difficult. I'm a pretty laid back kinda guy but I ended up in a shouting match with one unnamed doctor and his hag of a nurse assistant name deleted. In the end they tried to get me to go away by writing me a huge prescription for loritabs. If this is what passes for medical care in medical-rich Johnson City then I feel sorry for all of us.

Eventually my injury mostly healed itself helped along by what research I did on my own. Good luck with what you find and if you have good results, please come back and share the doctors name with us

I understand what you mean about Kingsport doctors and I really can't recommend any in Kingsport. Have you tried JC or Bristol? With your FMLA running out you may be entitled to free legal advice, possibly legal representation, to see if you can get that FMLA extended and/or to protect your job. Good luck!

When my son had back injuries, we got pretty quick care with Watauga Orthopedics. They do their own MRI's now, so it was quick. We did, however get the runaround later on with an elbow issue. It seems they have different doctors for different bones!

We have had VERY bad experience with Watugga Ortho with my husbands knee injury. Ended up going to another ortho, Appalachian Orthopedics to fix what the first messed up and have had good results so far.

I had very bad results at Appalachian. I think it depends on what part of your body you're getting worked on.

I see Pain Mgt Associates. They have offices in KGPT &JC. I highly recommend them. For Primary care I go to Indian Path Dr Dale Solomon. I have been very happy. I also had bad experiences with HMG you get lost in the shuffle. I know there are good MDs there I just had a hard time finding a specialist that could deal with my back surgeries & procedures
I had several failed back surgeries & the regular Orthopedics just kept sending me elsewhere. HTH: -)

There is a Pain Associates group in Johnson City. Have you tried them? Such a liability these days for physicians in regards to prescribing pain meds.
