Burger Bar preps for Monday reopening | TriCities (http://www2.tricities.com/tri/news/local/article/burger_bar_preps_for_monday_reopening/45847/ - broken link)

It's rare when new management comes in, makes changes to an iconic restaurant, and the changes are a wild improvement, but this seems like the case for the revamped Burger Bar.

I passed by there 2x today. Once around 11:30 and the second time around 1:30. Both times there was a line of people standing outside waiting to get in. I hope to get there soon to try it out. I have to plead guilty to having only been there once in the last 5 1/2 years.

I went and it was sad! The burger was good but to high priced for size and not 100% done. Too many "suits" they were very much in the way. Ran into a friend who waited @ least 15 mins just to pay. We also got a hot dog that was cremated, some like that but me I wanna taste beef if I got a beef dog. On top of that stuff I was there not long after opening and the coke machine and milkshake machines were down. They lost a few seats in the already very small place. Big mistake in my opinion. Ill try again but the suits really need to stay out of the way.

Don't worry, Chuck, I don't think many people are going to hold that convoluted view.

Wow, interesting feedback. I expected to hear better reviews since the guy that re-opened this is also the owner of The Troutdale.

People "standing outside" is one of the best reviews I can think of. People in America don't stand unless it's worth it.

Just to make my comment about that a lil more clear with the exception of the guy cooking in a sweater vest(he didnt come there to cook) that I nicknamed "harvard" the suits werent working was my point. Obvious investors. Harvard was very obviously overwhelmed, like I mentioned burger wasnt cooked through.

I really will give it another chance......a relative who is also a long time fan of the place has gone since opening day and said it was AWESOME!

Not sure whats "convoluted" about some1 simply sharing their experience but oh well.

The post was convoluted because it contained both the benefits of a review, but also contain some glaring problems.

#1. The "too many suits" comments comes off as taking a shot at a certain class of people. It would similarly be distasteful to say there were too many "overalls" or too many "uniforms".
#2. Seating in the restaurant was actually increased by the new management, per the article.
