Murphy time! I love it!

I lived in Orlando for a short time. Loved it. But Fort Myers/Naples is like living at the gates of hell, and in more ways than one!

And of course there is that all important dewpoint, the nights usually cool down, unlike Florida, and the summer is not endless...

I should also have mentioned the there is a direct correlation of Murphy time to the importance of actually arriving somewhere at an exact appointed hour. A vacation example would be if your reservation is for 6 PM and they have told you that unless they hear from you they will give away your room at 6:01 PM (highly likely on the 4th of July btw), Murphy time WILL come into play and you WILL be caught in heavy traffic, or have a flat tire, or have a car-sick child, and most importantly all cell phones in your possession WILL become non-functional when you try to call (or the call can't connect on the other end), and/or there will be a combination of, or all/more, situations mentioned here. The more important it is, the more likely Murphy will appear.

If you love Murphy time you'll appreciate Murphy money and/or budget. We all have the budget on paper, where we see where the money goes and how it balances. In reality, some of us plan for the Murphy budget - which is when the water heater goes out the week after you get laid off, or you get double pneumonia the week after you start the best job you've ever had, and the central heat/AC dies the same week of the water heater's demise. And...some of us ignore the Murphy budget...

Murphy money should also be included with vacation plans, along with Murphy time

Welcome to my life. Every darn day of it.

I've said for about 30 years that I am a "walking case of Murphy's Law."

Looking at the OP's itinerary, I want to say that Dollywood has pretty good food for an amusement park so you won't have to worry about lunch. It's pretty surprising.
