I may have a job offer in east knoxville. I'm hoping someone could give me some zip codes so I can check out some homes in the area.
Here's what I'm looking for:
1. Of course a nice area
2. Homes built in 50's ok, up to $140,000(if possible)
3. Would prefer not to be in busy area, semi rural ok
4. Not more then 5 miles to shopping
thanks

Knoxville realtors offer free access to the MLS. You can specify price, size and area and then see pictures inside the houses and a map.

Find Homes By Area

It's a good place to begin.

geranium... the MLS search filters (for civilians at least) are imply AWFUL.
The information there may be most accurate but it is also the hardest to use compared to others.
For example... Trulia.com which has it's accuracy wholly dependent on what the agents and others upload but the filters available to root through what is there? rather good.

370z, try this: Knoxville Zip Codes - HelloKnoxville.com
A good start but it still needs a local's knowledge.

So geranium...
care to offer some public information to answer the Q?

Gee, Mr. R, do I feel silly. And to think I found a house in West Knox that way and move in next week.

Perhaps different strokes for different folks?

I love that website. Even when I was an agent and had access to the MLS - with very snazzy filters, I might add - I still liked the public search engine.

That link from Mr. R? It looks like a discombobulated Google map to me. How that enhances my life or helps relocation is beyond me.

As far as the OP's questions, everything they are asking has been asked about one thousand times. Do a quick search and you will find the answers submitted over and over. In fact, the terms of service of this forum says that you must before posting questions.

But a quick read of the first two pages - if that - will quickly show that there are homes all over the area that fit the OPs criteria. Or they could just use geraniums helpful little link and quickly draw that conclusion. Mr. R's link will show him where the Clarion is.

Thanks for the help, but I really wanted zip codes, in desirable areas that meet my criteria, so I would know what areas to look in.
