After several weeks and many, many visits from Comcast techs, I still have a problem. Since they have replaced the cables in the house, and the cable from the street box to the house, they have determined the problem is in the cable out there somewhere. They don't seem to really want to fix that part.
Some of the suggestions are not available in my area, but Dish is, so I may look to them.

Have you spoken to a supervisor? Upper-management will really want to fix that part, no matter what.

We have TDS out here in Farragut... may not ba available where you are, though. So far so good, we have only had it since April.

I would probably be more willing to try out cable internet someday if they would quit with the ridiculously high rates for people who choose not to also use their sub-par television product.

I've got TDS for phone, internet, and internet. Fiber to the house. I'm very happy with the service, quality, and especially the speed of my 25 mbit internet. If you're in an area that TDS services, I'd definitely check them out.
