Can anyone here name the lakes connected to the Tennessee River in the Knoxville region that one can navigate through continously in a 25' boat?

Is there an online chart or map that shows this somewhere (I can't find it)?

Thank you.

It's all maintained by TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority). They've got a website with the information you need.
TVA: Navigation on the Tennessee River
The Tennessee is a working river. There's a lot of barge traffic on it.
You can order navigation maps from TVA here:

It is possible to get from Knoxville to Mobile, Ala. by water. I know people who have done it.

I have been all through the TVA website and can't find information on which lakes in the Knoxville region might be connected for boating without having to go through locks.

The Tennessee Gazeteer Atlas I have seems to show that lakes Tellico and Loudon are connected without locks, is this true, are there others that are connected without locks as well?

Thank you.

Fort Loudon and Tellico are the only navigable lakes in the area I'm aware of that are connected without locks.

However you can go through the locks at Fort Loudon dam into Watts Bar Lake and the Tennessee River below.

You can lock through most all the TVA dams and end up in the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf pretty easily.
