I have seen a few homes for sale on that road. Drove through there in Sep. It looked poor. What part of town is this in and is it even worth looking there.

The homes were older and needed work, but nothing that I can't do.
Just a thought.

Fair Drive is just below Cedar Lane and is over a mile long so the neighborhood can change within that distance. At one end its very close to Fountain City, but I'm not sure what it's called by the people that live there.

As far as "looking poor". The houses in that area are at a certain price point. If that is your definition of "poor", and it bothers you, then maybe you should look somewhere else.

You drove the area, you have a better idea than anyone else, if it meets your needs and would be comfortable living there.

I have inspected many homes in that area (maybe not on Fair).

Default Thank you

I think what I was wondering is if it is "poor" or "blue coller".

I do not know the exact street you are looking at, but I can tell you it is probably a bit of both blue collar and poor. Fountain City area is loaded with modest houses.
Ever go up to the Adirondacks in summer? Notice how everyone's homes there are not all perfectly landscaped? Yet the lawns are mowed and the homes are maintained without a lot of flash and bling? Well that is how the Fountain City area is. The refreshing thing about living in Knoxville and Tennessee is everyone is real and not all trying to be "show me what you have types" I'm sure there are areas in Knoxville where that mentality is prevalent. Thankfully I do not live in that kind of area, nor are my neighbors pretentious, keeping up with the Jones type.

Fair drive is "Well it's fair". Used to date a girl, many years ago, that lived on Fair drive , back then it was more than fair.

I live a couple blocks from Fair, It's fine. North/Fountain City is an older community and some streets have re-emerged where others are blue collar. Fair is a bit blue collar but the area is fine. I run up and down the streets in all the neighborhoods at various times of the day and night and have never had any problems or even felt uncomfortable.

I can show you houses that are over $1m and below $100k less than 2-3miles from Fair Dr. Just how older community areas like Ftn. City are. I will say that Ftn. City has seen a lot of younger, first-time homebuyers (like me and some of my friends) come into the area the past 5yrs which implies the community is back on the upswing as a whole.
