Nashville does have a Trader Joe's in the works, thanks in part to an online petition that validated local interest. The good folks on C-D did a lot to make that happen.

As soon as we get a Costco, we'll start on Trader Joe's. It's amazing how much more affordable these two stores make it to eat well. (That sentence is grammatically incorrect on multiple levels, but you get my drift.)

I don't like Sam's Club at all. Costco and TJ have spoiled me, so sign everybody, sign!

I'm signing the petition as well
You can get Dippin Dots in Knoxville at both malls (Knoxville Center and West Town). They also have Dippin Dots vending machines at various places in the area such as Bass Pro Shops and all kinds of places in Pigeon Forge-Gatlinburg.

Costco is aware of the online petition. You can read all about it here:

Thumbs up I miss Costco

I love Costco. They have the best bakery, seafood dept and a great wine selection at great prices. For people who have never been, it is waaaaaaaay better than Sam's Club.
Also, with gas prices on the rise and from the looks of it, never going down,Costco is usually the best bargain in town.
I am hoping big time that we get one in Knoxville.

I hope it's true! Just one thing the blogger Twitter needs to correct: the old outlet mall was BELZ not BELTS.

I think Knoxville can definitely support 2 Sam's Clubs and a Costco, and I'm not surprised to see Costco out in West Knox. Frankly I could also see a Costco in North Knoxville off Merchants or even Emory Road.

When Costco entered Memphis and Nashville, both Costco and Sam's Club gave out free memberships for a year. I hope they'll do that here, too!

I noticed it, too. At least knoxnews.com didn't made the same faux pas.

It looks like the reporter knows the blogger, so it could be legit. As long as the memo is, too.

Remember when I looked at that house owned by Costco near Pratt's? They finally auctioned it off for about $114,000. Gorgeous house. So they HAVE been nosing around here.
