Hello!

I have recently become obsessed with greenways after visiting Third Creek Greenway and Tyson Park greenway . I loved the feel of the greenways and how those particular ones felt so urban. So my question is, are these two the most urban greenways in Knoxville? I did the Turkey Creek Greenway and it was just "meh", as I did't get that city feeling. I would love to do some more that have an urban feel. Can someone point me to some greenways in Knoxville that have an urban feel similar (or even more so) to Third Creek and Tyson Park, please?

*Note: I'm not sure if I have named the greenways correctly. I started at the Earth Fare Greenway on Forest Blvd and went all the way to Neyland Avenue (via the Greenway system).

Thanks!

It's very short - but check out the first creek greenway. Park on Hoitt between Sixth & Luttrell. Eventually it will connect to downtown through an industrial area and be very urban indeed.

I don't think it's been built yet except a small part between Cumberland and the river. It too will be urban if it extends - but I think 1st creek is a priority.

That's interesting, thanks for the link. I hadn't thought of the sidewalks at Worlds fair park as greenways but I guess they are. ISTR some sort of road project proposal that would connect Blackstock to the Happy Holler area as well. So maybe that would have a greenway along with it.

You're welcome!

I agree about First Creek. Once it connects to downtown it will be very urban.

Walking from North Gay to the Old City - past Remedy - and then past the dog park, up to the downtown area and over to Krutch Park can feel like a "self-made" greenway!

Thanks Everyone for the replies. I will be sure to go on these greenways. As odd as it may seem, I am very excited!
