Welcome Greg, you will love Knoxville and most of the time you will find most people here very friendly and receptive! Only a few instances where area folks are not.
We have family in Ct. and I agree about your traffic and parking and could not even begin to imagine how you deal with that on a regular basis.
Knoxville is so spread out and you can find about any style of living you want and most areas have the community feeling in the little sub areas. The Airport is a normal 30 minute drive from most parts and makes it easy to commute. Good luck and be sure and enjoy the great July fireworks show.

Not really. I just do amateur photos while sightseeing.
