I am trying ever so hard to be good! <<<Hiknapster says, as she bats her eyelashes>>>

I got an e-mail from my 71-year-old father Monday morning. He wants to know how to get on Facebook.

I kid you not.

I have yet to answer him.

I don't think Facebook is ready for that!

He found out about it from watching 60 minutes on Sunday night.

Smile Yay, we're back on line!

Okay, MB, you can rest now!! It looks like I'm back.

My dear son should run Charter Communications! Whatta boy!

He went to Best Buy, bought a new router ($60.00 - Ouch!) and has us back on line. Meanwhile, I think I'll let Charter go ahead and make their house call tomorrow. Nah, I can't be that way. Gotta call them to cancel. Hey, I have to sleep, don't I?

AND, it looks like you have all been good. So, here's your treat!

My gray stays away permanently, too, SMG! I love my stylist!

It has been so long since I visited Facebook, I don't know how many of my friends are there. I have to check!

Hik, let your dad have a little fun in his senior years! Fill him in. My dad at 87 still looked forward to his Food Network newsletter every week or so in his email Inbox! And, boy oh boy, could he cook!

You and me both, Bones. Thanks. I really thought it was Charter again - they have not been the best!

OK, I have to ask, what is the deal with this facebook place? Isn't it kinda like Myspace? Is there a point to it (like C-D) or is it kinda like a on line journal thing? Sorry, but I just don't know what it is.

Oh mb, I was just like you once. When I was in the dark. Last week.

Evidently, facebook is the new, better myspace (so the kids tell me). It started out as a Harvard project of some sort for communication at college and expanded from there. It is kind of like expanded profiles. I think it started out college age, went to high school, and now the rest of us can get it on the action. It isn't like City-Data. It is all about socializing, self expression, etc. The kids put a lot of their pictures on there, and write on each others "wall". 60 Minutes did a profile of them this past Sunday. Amazing the growth of it all. Someone else can probably describe it better. After all, I am a facebook newbie! LOL Along with text messaging, this will soon help make verbal communication non-existent!

Ut oh, I have to stay away from the face book site then. Last time I put up an online "profile" I ended up married!
Well...maybe I will peek at it but not post anything hahahahahha

13 degrees with a windchill factor that makes it feel like 4 degrees. I am worried for GBH and her dog. Y'all ok? Need any hot chocolate or firewood?
