Question First day of Spring is not the same date every year. Oh, no!

Having grown up about 15 miles from Punxsutawney Phil's burrow, I have often wondered what must be going through everyone's mind!

If PP sees his shadow we will be in for another 6 weeks of winter. AND, if PP doesn't see his shadow... We are still in for another 6 weeks of winter!

First day of Spring - March 20, 2008 @ 5:48 AM. See you there!

And, thank you everyone for all of the very thoughtful messages and posts. I brought DH home this evening after dinner. Sound asleep, all is well. Thank you for your prayers. I think you are all the cream of the crop!!

Talking Nothing can top Punxsutawney Phil's Day!!

Someone has to do it, Bones!

Plus, of all of the holidays that we observe in February, what is more important than Ground Hog's Day?

Valentines - schmalentines.
Presidents' Day - George who?

Hey, Bones, I never looked at the 29th of Feb. as a holiday, but I'll throw a party for just about anything.

My house on the 29th! Come as you are!

Default My thoughts are with you

Gem, sorry I havent been on and didnt realize abut your DH, my prayers are with him. My DH is a 5 yr cancer survivor of colon cancer and also had cancerous bladder polps removed 3 times. My daugher is also a Breast cancer survivor, had a double mastec. when she was 38 so she is an 8 yr survivor. Its tough to go through but with todays medicine we know it can be cured.

My DH fell down on the icy day out on the walkway, I went to help him, not knowing it was because of ice, and I fell down. They took us both to the ER by ambulance, he had 4 stiches in his head and I suffered a severe contusion to the head. Thank God we are ok now except for some nerve problems in our arms and hands. Boy that was an awakeining for us Floridians, LOL.

Take care all. Linda

Gem, I'm so happy to hear that hubby is doing well and on the mend! I haven't been on much, either, so I've been behind in sending you my thoughts and well wishes. But it sounds like everything went as well as it could have and that the recuperation process is underway. Good news! We're all relieved and happy to hear.

Smile Thanks, goodbyehollywood and gailli!

Thanks, gailli and GBH. We are so happy ourselves. Thanks to all of your for your kind thoughts. You never realize how important good health is until it isn't there for awhile. Good friends help you to perservere, that's for sure. Thanks, all good friends.

We both expect to keep on kicking until we make it to TN and then some!

My very best wishes for continued good health to you, gailli, your daughter and husband. You have all been through a lot. Hugs!
