All my coats and boots and hats from Washington, D.C. have a permanent home in the cedar chest. Heaviest coat I wear here is a Land's End Fleece jacket.

Wink Great to get back from MI to lovely mild E TN

I, too, love the temperate climate in Tennessee. I have a very narrow range of comfort - 72 to 78 degrees. I know, I definitely need therapy!

It was great to be back in Maryville today and not be shivering when we got out of the car - without a hat, jacket, scarf, or gloves!

Traveling back to N GA later this afternoon on Rte. 129 hubby and I remarked about 5 times each, "Look how beautiful it is!" You can see mountains forever on 129 S now that most of the leaves are down. Just beautiful!

Smile Come South to warm your bones awhile, sthepoet.

Sthepoet, I do sympathize with you. As a former Michigander, Pennsylvanian, and New Englander I have experienced over 50 years of that North Pole blast.

I am sorry that you have another winter to suffer through. Isn't it said that the finest art and poetry comes from what we endure in our own lives? Wow, you should be pumping out some poetry worthy of Joyce Kilmer - or maybe E. A. Poe!!

I wish you would post something apres pro on the forum sometime. We would enjoy it.

This ain't nothin'.

Actually, if you do a lot of work outdoors, this is a pretty good temperature - you can really keep a strong pace without overheating.

I currently live in Tampa, but I just purchased 3.4 acres in the Halls Crossroads area, and I am looking forward to the change in seasons again (originally from NJ). Three more years is when I make my move! Can't wait!
