I'm looking for a town somewhere between Oneida and Knoxville that would be a great place to live. If we moved, my husband would be working in Oneida. We love the outdoor recreation that the area offers at the same time value the cultural/family friendly activities readily available in Knoxville. We'd like to live somewhere in between but can't quite figure it out looking at the map. We like a rural life. Great schools are a priority. Any suggestions and/or insight would be appreciated!

You are not likely to get great schools until you get to Oak Ridge or Knoxville.

Maybe Norris? Do they have their own school system?

They are part of Anderson County and I believe they go to Anderson County High, as opposed to Clinton High. The former is slightly better than the latter but they are both not great. However, they are probably the best schools between Oneida and Oak Ridge/Knoxville. That's not saying much, though.

Try Somerset, KY.

Hey Hailey, i used to travel weekly to Scott county and how much or time of drive do you want. Several and all cities offer what you described for outdoors and the towns in between, would be Sunbright then Wartburg, then Oliver Springs and then Oak Ridge.
If you travel hyw 27, would be Huntsville, Harriman then Knox. Hope that helps.
