Does anyone know of a nice photos 2008 calendar available locally? Would love to have one, and give a few as gifts this year. Thanks very much from a VERY happy East TN transplant!!

Almost every chamber of commerce in every city/town should have one. Just give them a call.

The Knox County Library issues a calendar every year, featuring photos of Knoxville's past, entitiled "Knoxville Remembered." They are $10 each. I bought two, last year.

This time next year I want to see a really splendid calendar of East TN put together using LauraC's pictures.

Laura, I love looking at your photos, since I can't live there anymore. I'll make it easy on you - we'll limit the pictures to Anderson and Knox counties.

A year will fly by - time to get cracking!

If you include Knox County it will be VERY limited. I think I have been there 3 times in 7.5 months and that was to buy furniture. I've never been to the mall and I have never been downtown, not even driving through downtown to someplace else.

Had a really good photo for a possible Tennessee Chistmas card this year but I can't post it here because I did not ask the two people in the photo if I could take their picture, they weren't "on display" like in a parade or in a show and I used a zoom lens so they didn't even know I was taking it. There's nothing bad about it or them. I just think it would be wrong to put it on a public site because I didn't ask permission...but it would have made a great Tennessee Christmas card and trust me, I look all over for ones I could buy in a store and came up empty. This surprised me. There were cards made by Tennessee companies/people but they were just regular Christmas cards.

at cafe press or snapfish (or any other photo server) you can make a calendar out of just about any photos you want!

And...if you design a calendar, Laura, I know some of us will buy it!

Default Thanks...

I appreciate all the helpful responses re: East TN calendars! And, I vote YES! on the possible photos calendar of Laura C's great pics! Have to say, this weather of late has certainly not been very "wintery" ...but then, everyday is brand new to us here, so have no idea what normal is for December.

Ken Jenkins Art in Gatlinburg. Bought one over phone; received it the NEXT day! Laura, surely there are ways on computers nowadays to edit out the people in your photo, aren't there? Seems a shame not to be able to use it.
