It's all relative. This is INSANELY cheap in my eyes, coming from Austin, TX. We have a one bedroom apartment, and we pay $1400/month.

But we are talking about Knoxville, TN, not Austin, TX.

Exactly. Nothing like taking this completely out of context. It's not my opinion. It is a response to the original question. Maddie Claire suggested one of the most expensive apartment complexes in the area that was not in the OP's price range.

Not a big deal.

FYI, I'm a transplant that's lived in other areas of the country, including Massachusetts. You're Austin rent isn't that impressive. But we are on here trying to answer questions. If you meant your post in jest, fine. Maybe my reaction is because someone else on here previously jumped all over my response. That's pretty typical for this forum. Also, I was going to respond to your thread but, well, never mind.

My mom gets treatment at UT Cancer Center, which we also really like. I still haven't made any friends, but I really love all the fun outdoor activities nearby! Now I just need to find someone to wakeboard with!
Thanks for the update!
