My husband and I may be relocating to Knoxville soon, and we enjoy the area around Turkey Creek. We are looking for a small house, with at least 2 bedrooms, $1000 or less per month, and must be pet friendly. We want something newer, or remodeled if possible. What neighborhoods would you suggest for our search? Apartments or condos aren't out of the question either. Any suggestions on nice, safe apartments near Turkey Creek is appreciated too.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I don't think you really have to worry about neighborhoods in that area. Search for Farragut and West Knoxville. You might have to pay a little more, unless it's an apartment. Not sure, though.

Are you planning on renting or purchasing? Payments to finance and have a $1000 payment would allow you to purchase in the range of 125 to 140 or so. Good luck in your searching!

Any area around Turkey creek is going to be a nice desirable area. You will pay a bit more to be there, but its very safe and the schools are good. I cant think of any areas near Turkey creek that would be of any concern. I think your budget is reasonable, I would suggest getting one of those apartments guides, or use an online apartment finder guide. Youll get lots of apartment info that way. Those guides usually do not do houses though, just professionally managed apartments.

Daniel, that was a good suggestion. I also am interested in the Knoxville area and sent for the apartment guide and a visitor brochure (so I could pinpoint the area people were suggesting). All of you have been so helpful.
