Hey, MB, don't know if this is allowed. If not, please delete.

DH's company put us under a new insurance plan this year so we have to find a new dentist. Following are four that are in the plan but, after what's been on the news lately, I'm leery of trying one cold-turkey. Can anyone give info on any of these?

Robert Zajac, Parkside Drive
Smita Borole, Parkside Drive

William Pigford, Deerbrook Drive
Gary Chesney, 10820 Kingston Pike.

Thanks, ya'll.

There have been a couple of stories over the last few months about dentists who rip off patients with unfinished or poor quality work. It's been on one of those consumer segments on the news.

Here's one of them:
Woman waits 14 months for refund for oversized dentures
Places like that need to be put out of business.

My dentist is Dr. Terry Cribbs
Knoxville Dentistry - Terrie Cribbs, D.D.S. - Dentistry in Knoxville, TN

She is very good at what she does. My family & I go to her for regular check ups and have been for about four years.

Talking Dr. Barole is good

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Barole at Dental Works on Clinton Hwy for the last two and half years. I just had a bridge done and it looks and feels great. We have had several crowns between the two of us as well as fillings and the appropriate number of cleanings, x-rays, etc. The office with Dr. Zajac is the new one in Turkey Creek and they are saying it's really nice so I feel comfortable recommending them to anyone. My only suggestion with them is schedule your cleanings in advance because it's about impossible to get them at the last minute. Regular appointments are no problem, though.

Thanks, TK. Guess we'll give Dr. Z a try. One thing all dentists in East TN seem to have in common is how long it takes to get an appt. The dentist I used back in that awful place we moved from was semi-retired. I could call one day and get an appointment the next. Of course, it was the same with my hair stylist and here I have to make an appointment well in advance.

Thanks, I'll have to see if he's on our list of providers and then will have to decide not to be dissuaded because of his name!

We've been going to Dr. James Horton in Oak Ridge and have really liked him. He is super thorough.

Default Regarding Dr Zajac

Hi!
I can't speak to any of the names but Zajac. He is now my family dentist and to many of my co-workers. We plan to keep seeing him. He is great! I started seeing him when he was at the Clinton Highway office, but I drive to the new Dental Works in Turkey Creek to stay with him. I like his chairside manner, his willingness to accommodate patients individual needs and concerns, he explains all treatment and options and above all--makes sure he is not causing me unnecessary pain! I know that he practiced in Indiana for 26 years before moving here last summer. Make an appointment with him. I know you'll like him.

Elle D.
