How close are you to Hartford, sebtec?? I will be in the Hartford area to visit my son and his family in July. I always carry an ice chest with us for my goodies.

I would love to try your kielbasa and bring it back with me. We loved smoked and fresh!!

I make some pretty mean kiffles, too. Anybody like them with poppyseed filling? My favorites have always been the prune/plum filling and the sugared walnut filling! Yummy.

Default Yes, I do remember that one!

In many towns in WI, between the Polish and German residents that song is really the 'anthem' of the day! In the days of the noon show polka dancing contests, what better melody to dance with your sweetie! Sure do remember the good 'ole times. As a student in high school and at 'those' forbidden beer parties, what better to live by than the mantra from that song! Oh, those were some really good times.

Smile Music, good food, plus beer = polka party!

Suzanne and Hik, that reminds me of the times we went to the Polish Club Saturday night get-togethers. I guess they weren't actually organized as "parties", but that is what they always turned out to be.

What fun we had with all of my DH's family, cousins, grandparents, and all polka dancing and enjoying the beer and good food. Me? I pretended to polka!

Make room for a dance floor, sebtec!

Gem, that makes two of us who pretended! That said, we still have a good time and so did all the other folks. Ever see so many folks smiling all the while and having such a good time.
