Hi! My husband and I are also looking to move to the knoxville area as well from MA. He applied for an ironworkers union (as a welder) up here in Boston but we want out of this state! Taxes are too high, rent is out of control and buying a house is a whole different story if you aren't fairly wealthy. We want a slower pace of life and a good place to raise kids and definitely close to the mountains. Any suggestions for areas we should look in or around knox County renting homes (not apt)? Also feel free to describe quality of life down there! We need a change!!

Unions are not big here. It doesn't mean they don't exist, but they are definitely limited.
