I would describe Brown Squirrel furniture a low end. Mostly made overseas. I had bad luck with their durability. Finish quality was so so. For top quality of your core pieces I would go to Braedens. Most people are long term employees and are not pushy. Gary Braeden has given me some very good deals over the years. For resale I'd check Consign to Design. Quality items, non pushy staff (several are interior designers). I've also bought at Basset with no issues what so ever on quality or service.

I have a friend in TV that ordered some nice case furniture from an Amish builder. They said it took 4 months to build, they picked it up last week and love it.
