We were out at Target over here near EastTowne Mall the other evening and I noticed someone putting lettering up on the entrance to the new park east of where the new Target, BB&B, Circuit City strip mall indicating a Farmer's Market, I think. I plan to look into this more in the coming days.

As I understand it, the old "good" farmer's market used to be where the current Target store is, so hopefully they've just found a new location for it.

I'm 99% sure that's what the lettering was, but need to verify.

Excellent detective work, mjb62676!

I get out at 3 p.m. on Thursday, and it is the start of my weekend, but I will try to cool my heels until it opens, or go get Lauren in Halls and drive back over.

We need to support this, folks! Let's do our part to buy local, fresh produce.

And mjb62676, thanks for the downtown report. I see that it has not changed since I went to that farmer's market, two years ago.

Also, there seems to be a nice farmer's market in Seqouyah. I think it runs on Fridays, which is my day off, but I always forget.

Here's the links for y'all.

Is Circuit City now in the same mall/parking lot as Target? Is that where the farmers market will be located. Sorry I haven't been there in awhile so I don't know of the park you speak of.

Circuit City is what I would call "west" of Target, then east of Target is Dress Barn, Bed Bath and Beyond, Old Navy, and some other stuff...this park is just EAST (relatively speaking) of the Target and other stores. It's a beautiful park, though not many trees.

The"New" Target on Washington Pike? Sorry to be asking so many questions.
Pam

The only Bed Bath and Beyond I know of is on the West side.

Bed Bath & Beyond Store Locator

Yep. There's a Bed Bath & Beyond. The area has changed a lot. I suspect that Washington Heights isn't as nice as when you lived there, either.

That's unfortunate.

But there a lot of nice stores that are in. I try to shop in East Knoxville now, at Circuit City, Target, the mall. They need our dollars.

East Town here I come again! If there is a bed, bath and beyond with Carolina Pottery all in East town, I'd never have to leave!
East Town has grown in the year I've been out here in Dandridge.

Now, if we could just get a Chipotle and a Cold Stone ANYWHERE in Knox County...

A best buy on this side of town would be nice.
