I have a Knox county road atlas, but was wondering if there are maps which delineate the various areas (fountain city, cedar bluff, hardin hills etc).

Hope to head down in May for a "neighborhood/area research" trip.

Thanks in advance.

Default Maps

Dave,
Go to The Map Store. They have a page by page map of Knox County (and about any other map you will need).
Their phone number is 865/281-9541. They are located on Dutch Valley Drive. It the street that runs along I-640. You can actually see the back of the stire when you are driving on 640. You can get to it from Old Broadway from one end, or off Central Avenue Pike which turns into Dutch Valley when it makes the turn. You can get to Central Avenue Pike from Merchants Road/Cedar Lane at I-75.

Or call them and they can tell you how to get there from wherever you are coming from.
Good luck!
I just re-read your post and see that you are not in Knoxville now, so pretty hard to drive over to pick a map up.
More Info:
They have a variety of maps to choose from, and a variety of prices. The lower costs maps are paper and the higher cost ones are plastic laminated. Since I use mine every day to find places, I use the laminated version so I can mark them up, and erase when I'm done. I also have the multi-county book.

I just called them to get as much info as I could. here's what I found out.
1. They do not have a web site, but you can order stuff over the phone.
2. The Knox County paper map is $24.95 plus $6.50 for shipping. It is it out of state, then there will not be any sales tax.
3. They are open M-F till 5pm except Thursday and they stay open till 7pm

I hope this helps you out.

We bought one of the Knox Co. atlases you find at many of the local convenience stores, and it shows the different "neighborhoods". That thing has been priceless for us. Some of the online maps also show these areas.
